Independence Celebration Parade

Description
Parade at 10:00 a.m. in Downtown Kingfisher. Day-of and last-minute entries will be prohibited from participation in the parade. Entries will close June 30th.
PARADE RULES
ENTRY DEADLINE: 12:00 pm, 7/1/2024, and will be strictly enforced.
NO DAY OF entries will be allowed
PARADE ROUTE: Staging at Interbank: Parade runs south down Main to 81/33 (U-TURN) then returns to the Staging lot!

• SIZE of ENTRIES: Limited to the maximum size restriction of 10' wide by 13.5' high
• DRIVERS: Drivers of motor vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
DRIVERS under the age of 18 must wear a helmet.
• FLOATS: All parade vehicles, which are not street legal, can only be driven in the parade and return route • Floats/trailer-styled entries must have an adult 18 years of age or older on board at all times
• ATV (All-Terrain Vehicles): Age restrictions for operation of gasoline-powered scooters, cycles, and entries are: NO child age 6 or under shall be allowed to drive an ATV/vehicle in the parade.
Age 6-11: Under 70cc
Age 12-15: 70-90cc
16 and older: Over 90cc
• Gasoline-powered scooter, cycle, and ATV operators AND passengers under the age of 18 must wear a helmet.
• All motorized entries and vehicles must have a legal exhaust system; no cut-outs, etc.
• SIRENS & loud noises/ whistles are prohibited near horses & livestock.
• MUSIC: Music/sound devices on parade entries and floats must be at reasonable volume levels.
• NO BURNOUTS or any other reckless behavior is prohibited.
• TWO-WAY Parade: entries must return to the staging area
• Jumping off or onto the parade entry during the parade is prohibited.
• CANDY: Candy or other objects will not be thrown from the float/vehicle during the parade.
Candy and other objects may only be given out hand-to-hand along the parade route.
